A little walk at Linford enlivened by a display of lenticular clouds and sundogs.

The Lenticular clouds are still around and if you look at the upper layer of cloud, you can see the beginnings of a sundog appearing.
Looking back over the lawn alongside Little Linford Inclosure…
and forward to the pine wooded end of the inclosure.
That sundog has really come on…
…and the other side makes a pair.
I’m a member of the Cloud Appreciation Society, but I’m not a great one for seeing objects in the clouds. However, that is definately a pineapple!

Back home and out in the field checking the horses, the sundog is still in evidence.
The clouds tonight are wonderful, this dark clouds has odd rainbow effects around it.
The lenticular clouds are still in evidence and changing constantly.
One minute a few, next minute, loads.
Back in the other direction, that sundog has been split by the clouds.
Zooming in a bit, just because it’s so pretty.
The light of the setting sun through the clouds is very unusual but rather beautiful.
And finally, the full moon is heading towards it’s largest in years.

Really enjoyed your blog – photos are great. I will be looking out for lenticular clouds from now on. Plus I never knew there was a name for the rainbow coloured area you sometimes see in the sky – I guess there’s a name for everything!
