A dull day, so we head over to Linford for our walk and the skies literally close in over the top of us.

Before our walk I check on the horse, the bluebells on the edge of Wishful’s field are still looking wonderful.

At Linford the sun is making a vain effort to shine.

Close to the edge of Pinnick Wood, the higgledy piggledy branches of a huge oak tree.

As we walk, the sky is becoming more and more ominous.

Linford Brook under lowering cloud.

My favourite ash tree, still not in leaf. Look carefully and you’ll see Harry waiting for me at the base.

The clouds are roiling and blowing every which way over the pines of Great Linford Inclosure.

This picture was taken only a couple of moments later, but already the clouds have changed dramatically.

A huge ripple in the cloud looks makes the sky look like it’s going to tear apart.

Viewing it from a different angle the illusion is even more striking.

Down by the brook, all seems calm.

But up there, it still looks like the sky is falling in – Chicken Licken is going home!
