Sunset on Ibsley Common
Tuesday, August 31st, 2010
This time of year just lends itself to lovely mellow evening light and the best sunsets.
Looking into a pink Dorset from the top of Ibsley Common.
Closer to me, the fields and hedgerows of the village of Ibsley bathed in golden evening light.
The wonderful deep red of these Red Devon cattle is heightened by the setting sun and the heather.
Sunsets like these make life worth living.
The pond in the old gravel pit is as still as, well, a pond, and renders a perfect reflection of the sunset.
Zooming in a bit.
Harry disturbs the calm water to fetch his ball. Oh alright, I disturbed it when I threw it in!
The calm sunset reflections gone for a while.
In the last of the light, heather growing up through young gorse.
I'd love to hear from you...
