Spring at Ibsley in the morning and Linford in the afternoon

The New Forest is bursting with spring!
Donkeys relax by the road at Crosslanes, Mockbeggar.
A crab apple laden with blossom.
A close up of that crab apple, striped like seaside rock.
New Forest Ponies file down the lane in front of me – wonder where they’re off to?.
At Linford in the afternoon, the last vestiges of the sun light the brand new and bright green beech leaves.
By contrast this ash tree is still bare of any leaves at all. Those that subscribe to the saying "Oak before ash, in for a splash. Ash before oak, in for a soak" will be happy, the surrounding ash trees are much further forward!
At the base of the ash tree, a ball. Now where is Harry?
There he is!!!
Hawthorn flowers and leaves beginning to emerge.
Goat willow flowers – I think?.
I'd love to hear from you...
