Smugglers Road and spring flowers
Tuesday, April 19th, 2011
A couple of photos from our morning walk at Smugglers Road and a lovely afternoon stroll through the lanes around home to see what the spring has sprung.

From the car park at Smugglers Road looking over towards the woods of Burnt Axon and Brown Loaf behind.

The actual Smugglers Road above us.

Looking across to Hightown Hill.
An afternoon walk around the roads of Hangersley, Highwood and North Poulner and photos of spring flowers and the setting sun.

Euphorbia in the sunshine.

The bluebells are marvellous this year and there are quite a few white and pink ones around.

Another lovely spring flower, the Lesser Stitchwort.

A berberis of some sort. I didn’t say they were all going to be wildflowers!

Some kind of lilac in the hedges.

The simplicity of a dandelion.

The cuckoo flower or Ladies Smock.

Enough flowers, how about the sunset across North Poulner?

Zooming in on the setting sun and a bird. I didn’t notice him until I got home and looked through the photos!

Nearly home, the last of the sunset.
