Newlands to Ibsley and a sunset!

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Heavy rain in the morning and Ibsley in the afternoon – not really a day for photos.

A jackdaw nicking Wishy’s discarded moultings while I’m grooming her in the morning. Cheeky chappie, normally Jackdaws seem very shy of getting too close but the draw of so much soft stuff was too much! Not the best photo but I thought the content was worth it!

Much of the Newlands Plantation has been felled recently, leaving only a few fine broadleaved trees standing. This oak stands against the darkening sky with a sadly drooping branch.
