Linford and Ibsley
Monday, January 31st, 2011
A dull, cold start at Linford and a glorious sunset from Ibsley to end the day.
On the way down to Linford I see a herd of fallow deer that are commonly seen in this area. There are normally three pale deer, but today only two are in evidence.
Zooming in on the group with the pale deer.
The view from the road bridge at Linford is edged with ice.
A close up of the ice crystals.
A late afternoon walk onto Ibsley Common starts out with this lovely view over the fields and Blashford Lake into the setting sun.
A little further up the hill as the sun starts to sink into the blanket of cloud in the west.
Zooming in on the sun just before it disappears altogether.
On top of the common, the pond is a sheet of ice, but it still reflects the lovely colours in the sky.
Just before we head off the common down to the car, the last rays of the sunset seem to come straight from the tree.
I'd love to hear from you...
