The beginnings of a sundog

The Lenticular clouds are still around and if you look at the upper layer of cloud, you can see the beginnings of a sundog appearing.

Pineapple cloud

I’m a member of the Cloud Appreciation Society, but I’m not a great one for seeing objects in the clouds. However, that is definately a pineapple!

Really enjoyed your blog – photos are great. I will be looking out for lenticular clouds from now on. Plus I never knew there was a name for the rainbow coloured area you sometimes see in the sky – I guess there’s a name for everything!

Thank you for taking the time to look and your kind comments Becky. Lenticular clouds are more common in mountainous areas, so it’s always a treat to see them here. Have a look at the Cloud Appreciation Society website to find out more about the things that we always think don’t have names. The sky suddenly becomes so interesting 🙂 Love your website by the way, your photos are gorgeous.

I'd love to hear from you...
