A evening walk from Abbotswell car park
As I leave the car, the rain clouds in front of me look very menacing.
In every direction!
The path down to the ford over the Latchmore brook looking towards Hasley Inclosure.
Zooming in on the pine trees at the western edge of the inclosure with the broadleafed woodland of Broomy Inclosure behind.
And having walked a bit further down the path, the pine trees are thrown into sharp relief on the ridge.
In front of me, Ogdens and Hasley Inclosure behind look rather autumnal lit by the sun and with such dark rain clouds behind.
Zooming in on the inclosure, lots of lovely greens.
Looking behind me to Hampton Ridge a single birch is backed by a single cloud. On such a cloudy day, that’s kind of surprising!
As I return to the car the sun is starting to disappear behind the next oncoming band of rain.
Back at the car and I’m only just in time, the next band of heavy rain is fast approaching!
I'd love to hear from you...
