A day of weather variety

Another day of weather variety! A morning walk with a bright rising sun. A ride out late morning in snow flurries and then an afternoon walk back in the bright sunshine.
Linford – early morning

Rising sun lighting the clouds above the Linford trees.

Walking up the rise in the path alongside the Great Linford Inclosure – a light frost on the ground…

…and looking back down the same path behind me.

Harry requesting my presence at the ball!

As I get my horse ready for our ride, the sun shines down through the clouds creating lovely crepascular rays.

Ten minutes later the snow clouds are gathering ready for our ride!
Abbotswell Car Park to The Church of the Holy Ascension Hyde and back again – late afternoon

The sun starts to set over the Abbotswell Car Park pond.

A little further down the path I’m treated to the full force of the beginning of a beautiful sunset.

A donkey grazes on gorse bushes, locally known as furze.

A rather magnificent birch against the setting sun.

A bright orange sky behind the belltower of The Church of the Holy Ascension Hyde and surrounding trees.

The lovely gate to the The Church of the Holy Ascension Hyde.

Starting the walk back to Abbotswell I pass this rather strange tree. It is in fact a phone mast, maybe not the most beautiful thing, but at least it is somewhat disguised!

The sun starts to dip below the horizon and creates a remarkable effect – it looks as if smoke is rising from it!.

Zoomed right in, the effect looks even more dramatic.

Back at the pond now and Harry takes the opportunity for a quick refresher – brrrrr!.
